About this site

Space Nerd is a static, editorial overview—designed to feel calm and readable, not exhaustive.

The shuttle pages summarize orbiter histories at a high level. The planet pages compress enormous fields of science into short intros. The Moon section highlights Apollo’s arc without replacing archives, oral histories, or peer-reviewed sources.

For mission specifics, engineering details, and official timelines, start with NASA and museum partners. Wikipedia can be a useful map to primary sources—treat it as a signpost, not a citation.

Imagery on this site includes the Apollo 17 “Blue Marble” photograph (public domain), served locally for performance. Credit lines appear near images and in the footer.
